The Cape Challenge is a collaborative effort of all three schools’ parent associations: PCPA, MSPA and HSPA. Proceeds from this fundraiser provide critical support to students and teachers of all three Cape schools. In the past, funds have supported teacher grants, technology grants, STEM programs, Pond Cove’s Visiting Artists program, the Middle School Outdoor Experience (Chewonki, Boston Freedom Trail) and Project Graduation.

Volunteers Needed!

Would you be interested in a volunteer role in the 2025 Cape Challenge? If so please reach out to this year’s Chairs for further information and also keep your eyes out for our SignUp Genius website. Below is a short description of some volunteer roles.

Saturday – Day Before Race – This is a kid-friendly opportunity to help out the day before the big race:

Stuff Registration Packets
Registration Pick up – hand out registration packets to runners
T-Shirt and Raffle Table

Pre-Race Sunday morning – Runners or parents of runners can help in these pre-race volunteer roles:

5k Course Set-up/Take Down – distribute cones, mile markers, sponsor signs along the 5 K race course.
Race Day Food Acquisition and Distribution – Food Run in days leading up to Race, set up outside of Middle School
Race Day General Set-Up – set up tents, create start line, hang sponsor signs
Race Day Registration – sign up for 5k or 1mile
